Julekort for juni

Soccer Edwin

Here comes my card for this weeks challenge at MDUC
This time the challenge is to use the three colors: purple, yellow and red.
It was really a challenge for me, since these are colours I never mix!
But my husband is turning 37 next week, and he is a supporter for a soccer team in red.
So with this in my mind I started with the card:)

Here are some info about the card:

Tilda with floating Hearts ♥

I am so busy these days, so not much time to work with my beloved papers and stamps.
And the weather is just amazing! Warm, sunny days. It has been a while since last time.
I have planned to read some books this summer, and will be needing a bookmark:)
I am also expecting some amazing ladies visiting me this summer!! Can you belive it??!! My super talented DT-friends from Sweden: Camilla and Lillemor are heading their way to Norway and Strandebarm!!!
They are both so inspireing, beautiful (inside-out:)) and warm persons.
I can't wait!! As you can imagine I am so excited about this:)
The paper I have used is a mini sheet from the Vintage Summer Basic paper pad 6x6".
They are so lovely! And also the vintage postcard behind the image is from that paper pad.
On top of the bokmark I have places a photo corner, which I have painted with Crackle Paint-Picket Fance.
The image is from Magnolia, and is called Tilda with floating hearts
I think she is my new favourite ♥
So beautiful with the wings and the hearts.
The poststamp is from Kort & Godt.
The bookmark measures 8x15 cm.
They are easy to make, and very handy!
Hope you liked it, and maybe got inspired to make one too?!:)

Book Card for a Wedding

Today's post is made for the Maja Design official blog, which I am hosting today.
I am also hoping to enter the challenge at Papirpikene with this card,
the theme there is WEDDING.
I am sure many of you have gotten the lovely Vintage Summer Basics by now, and felt the excellent quality and seen the beautiful patterns. I am in love:)
For today I have made a wedding bookcard.
A dear colleague of mine at work is going to USA (!!!) to attend a wedding there.
And she asked me to make the card.
I have used the pattern paper called 1922 for this card. I have used both sides of the paper. I have used 1921 for the Wrapped Heart tag and where I have used the Scalloped Dotted Lace (DooHickeys from Magnaolia) on the frame.
The stamps I have used are all from Magnolia's Wedding Collection 2010.
On the front I have the Loving Wedding Couple, and inside the card I have used Sitting Wedding Tilda and Sitting Wedding Edwin.
Under you can see some flower details, and two butterflies which I have made with a Martha Stewart punch. I have fasten some cheese cloth behind the frame, and it is as all the paper sewed with my sewing machine and inked with Distress Ink pad-Walnut stain. I use Tim Holtz blending tool for this. A regular sponge is fine, but when I use the TH blending tool I don't get any ink on my fingers.
Down in the corner of the book I have placed several flowers.
And on them I have fastened a beautiful key charm from Hjerteboden. I have fastene it with tacky glue
The white dots I have around the edge are made with Liquid Pearls-White Opal.
I have also decorated the inside of the book. My colleague wasn't going to have a gift inside the card anyway, so I had my hands free:) Behind Tilda and Edwin there is a heart covered with mostly roses.
And over the heart filled with flowers I have put a banner with the wedding couple's names.
To fasten Tilda and Edwin I have simply glued their feet in one of the folds in the book.
I have added Liquid Pearls to her hair, and also Crackle Accents to the flowers on both.
On the other side I have placed a paper to write a greeting on.
When you close the book, it looks like a bookmark coming up:)
The swirls and the text "Til Brudeparet" are from Stempelglede.
Their initials. Made with the Tim Holtz Vintage Market alphabet. I cut them out from cardboard, then painted them with white gesso, then crackle paint-picket fence, then inked the edges a little with walnut stain, before eventually adding Crackle Accents to them:) All that work for just two letters..:)
Here is both the front and back.
At last I can mention that the images are coloured with Distress Markers and Distress Ink, reinkers.
For Tilda's dress I have simply only used Tattered Rose (Markers) and then used Walnut Stain (Distress Ink) for the shadows in the dress. After coloring I have added Stickles-Star Dust on her dress.
For the shadows in Edwin's outfit, I have used Pumice Stone.
Their hair is first colored with Antique Linen (Markers), then I have used Walnut Stain (Distress Ink) on the the dark places and stripes.
For their skin I have only used Markers. First I color with Antique linen on the edges, and drag the color out with a brush. Then I do the same with Tattered Rose. And at last I use the color Tea Dye on the dark places, like under the hair in their forehead.
I wish Christine and Bryan an amazing wedding day tomorrow!!
Thank you so much for visiting,
and I hope you liked my Wedding Book Card ♥

TOMIC #48

I am back again! And this time with a card for the TOMIC Challenge
This week we want you to use a lovely sketch by Tina, and also use an animal stamp from Magnolia.
I have used two stamps from my spring club kit, MiaMia the Flamingo and Water Lily Tilda.
I have used Distress Markers and Distress Ink-reinkers for my colouring.
Under you can see the swirly butterfly. It is made with a DooHickey die from Magnolia.
Behind the flowers I have put the heart swirl.
Do you like the papers?:) They are from the beautiful Maja Design Collection Vintage Summer Basics.

Please visit TOMIC and have a look at the wonderful sketch by Tina, and to see the amazing cards by the Design Team.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
